Yayin da ya rage watanni shida a gudanar da zaɓen shugaban ƙasa a Ghana, ɗan takarar shugaban ƙasa a jam'iyya mai mulki ta NPP, Mahamudu Bawumia ya miƙa sunan Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh a matsayin wanda zai yi masa mataimaki.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, wanda a yanzu shi ne mataimakin Shugaba Nana Akufo Addo, shi ne zai yi wa jam'iyyar New Patriotic Party (NPP) takara a zaɓen da ke tafe na watan Disamba mai zuwa.
Kamfanin dillanci labarai na Ghana, GNA ya ruwaito cewa majiyoyi da ke da kusanci da fadar shugaban Ghana sun ce an yi wata tattaunawa ranar Talata da daddare a Jubilee House, inda Dr Bawumia ya nemi shawarar Shugaba Akufo-Addo game da zaɓinsa na ɗan takarar mataimakin shugaban ƙasa.
Ana sa rai ɗan takarar na NPP zai gana da Majalisar Jam'iyyarsa don ya gabatar da zaɓin nasa a hukumance, kuma idan aka karɓi zaɓin nasa, za a fitar da sanarwa a hukumance.
Wanda aka miƙa sunan nasa, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh yana da shekaru 56, A yanzu shi ne ministan makamashi, kuma mamba ne na Majalisar Dokoki, inda yake wakiltar gundumar Manhyia South, wadda yake wakilta tun shekarar 2008.
Dr Prempeh likita ne, kuma an haife shi ranar Alhamis, 23 ga Mayun 1968, ɗan asalin PAKYI-NO 2 ne da ke yankin Ashanti Region. A baya, ya riƙe muƙamin ministan ilimi.
Zama ɗan takara
A watan Nuwamban 2023 ne jam'iyyar NPP ta tsayar da Mahamudu Bawumia a matsayin ɗan takararta a zaɓen shugaban ƙasa da za a gudanar a watan Disamba na 2024.
Dr Bawumia ya samu ƙuri'u 118, 210 wato kashi 61.43 na ƙuri'un da aka jefa a zagaye na biyu na zaɓen fitar da gwani, nasarar da aka yi hasashen zai samu ganin cewa shi ne yake kan gaba a zagaye na farko na zaɓen da aka yi a watan Agusta.
