Hukumar kare hakkin kwastomomi ta tarayyar Nijeriya ta ci tarar kamfanin Meta dala miliyan 220 saboda samun manhajojinsa na Facebook da WhatsApp da laifin keta dokar kare sirrin masu amfani da su a ƙasar.
A wata sanarwa da Hukumar Nigeria Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) ta fitar ranar Juma'a, ta ce binciken haɗin-gwiwa da ta kwashe watanni 38 tana gudanarwa kan yadda manhajojin biyu suke aiki a ƙasar ya nuna cewa suna kwasar bayanan sirrin mutane tare da yin amfani da su ba bisa ƙa'ida ba.
Binciken ya gano cewa dokokin Meta suna hana masu amfani da manhajojinsa irin su Facebook da WhatsApp zaɓi na ƙin amincewa a kwashi bayanan sirrinsu da kuma miƙa su ga wasu.
"Baki ɗaya binciken ya amince cewa Meta ya kwashe wani lokaci yana keta dokokin kare sirrin masu amfani da shi a Nijeriya, kuma yana ci gaba da yin hakan," in ji sanarwar wadda shugaban FCCPC Adamu Abdullahi ya sanyawa hannu.
"Bayan gamsuwa da ƙwararan hujjoji da muka samu, tare da bai wa Meta damarmaki domin ya mayar da martani... yanzu wannan hukuma ta ɗauki matakin ƙarshe inda ta ci tarar Meta," a cewar Adamu Abdullahi.
Hukumar ta zayyana matakai da umarnin da suka wajaba Meta ya ɗauka don yin biyayya ga dokokin Nijeriya.
Kawo yanzu dai Meta bai yi martani kan wannan mataki ba, sai dai sanarwar FCCPC ta nuna cewa kamfanin ya miƙa mata wasu takardu kuma a baya lauyoyinsa sun gana da jami'an hukumar kan wannan zargi.
A baya ƙasashe da dama sun ci tarar Meta kan keta dokokin kare sirrin masu amfani da manhajojinsa. Kwanakin baya Tarayyar Turai ta gargaɗi Meta kan arya dokokin kare sirri.
Kazalika Afirka ta Kudu ta sanar da shirin gudanar da bincike game da ko kamfanonin sada zumunta, ciki har da Meta suna keta dokokin watsa labarai da biyan haraji.
