Fiye da giwaye 200,000 ne aka kiyasta suna rayuwa a yankunan da aka keɓe a ƙasashe biyar na kuɗancin Afirka - Zimbabwe da Zambiya da Botswana da Angola da kuma Namibiya - yanayin da ya sanya yankin zama ɗaya daga cikin wurare mafi yawan giwaye a duniya.
''Al'ummarmu tana daɗa karuwa sannan su ma kansu giwayen suna ƙaruwa, amma ƙasar da muke kira Zimbabwe ba ta faɗaɗa, don haka akwai buƙatar mu daidaita,'' in ji mai gamana da yawun hukumar kulda namun daji ta ƙasar, Tinasha Farawo.
Hukumomi a ƙasar Zimbabwe suna kuma duba yiwuwar sauya wa giwayen matsugunai daga yankunan da ke da yawan jama'a, sai dai wannan ƙuɗuri yana fuskantar ƙalubale saboda rashin kuɗaɗe.
Sauya wa giwayen matsugunai yana da matukar tsada, inda a shekarar 2018 aka gudanar da aikin kwashe giwaye 100 wanda ya laƙume dala $400,000.
'Ɗigo a cikin teku'
Hukumar kula da wuraren shaƙatawa da namun daji ta Zimbabwe (ZimParks) na buƙatar akalla dala miliyan 25 a duk shekara don tallafa wa ayyukanta amma ba ta samu wani tallafi daga gwamnatin da ke fama da matsalar tattalin arziki ba tun shekara ta 2001.
Kazalika hukumar ta fada cikin tsananin matsi na rashin kuɗi a shekarar 2020 saboda mummunan tasirin da cutar Covid-19 ya yi wa masana'antar yawon buɗe ido, wanda ita ce babbar hanyar samun kuɗaɗen shigarta.
Har yanzu ana tattaunawa kan shirin, kuma har yanzu ba a yanke shawara ta karshe ba.
Dokar Zimbabwe ta halatta rage dabbobi ta hanyar kashe su.
''A takaice dai, giwaye 200 tamkar ɗigo ne a cikin teku. Yawansu ba komai ba ne, amma akalla muna ƙoƙarin yin wani abu don taimaka wa al'ummominmu da dabbobin su kansu,'' kamar yadda Faeawo ya shaida wa TRT World.
''Saboda sun zama barazana da haɗari ga kansu.''
