Bamigbetan say di claims na part of plan to spoil di minister’s name, afta im don revoke mining licences wey belong to Basin Mining Limited, one company wey dem claim be Nigerian subsidiary of British-Australian firm, Jupiter.

E explain say dem revoke di licences because di company fail to pay dia statutory annual service fees wey reach N1.223 billion, and later di money rise to N2.494 billion before dem revoke am.

According to am, Jupiter later go meet one international arbitration court against di Federal Government, while at di same time dey do campaign to pressure di ministry make dem reverse dia decision.

Bamigbetan reject di claims say Alake dey favor Chinese investors pass Western companies, and e talk say di minister don engage with investors from Europe, America, Canada, Australia and oda places for im international meetings.

E say Alake don visit China only two times since e take office — di first one na as part of President Bola Tinubu’s state visit, and di second one na to attend China Mining Week 2025 afta Chinese government invite am.
