Dr Mumuni Dagazau, Executive Vice President, Downstream, NNPC Ltd., talk dis one on Thursday at di commissioning of di NNPC Retail Ltd. smart mega fuel station for Abuja.

Di News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report say di station, wey 200-kilowatt-hour solar system dey power, dey along Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, between di Flight Training School and di Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Headquarters, Abuja.

Di place get 180,000-litre Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and 45,000-litre Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) storage capacity, with 16 PMS pumps and two AGO dispensing pumps.
E also dey offer self-service fuel dispensing, electric vehicle (EV) charging, gas dispensing, automated car wash and vehicle servicing.

Dagazau talk say di initiative na part of NNPC effort to change normal fuel stations into modern energy hubs wey dey offer different energy and retail services.
E talk say di Abuja station na di first of plenty such facilities wey dem plan across di kontri, and add say about four or five go dey for Abuja, while two others go open for Kano.

"We dey hope to roll out plenty, between 50 and 70 of dis kind stations within di next six months.

"I think di most important thing for us na wetin customer want. Na centre where you fit access different forms of energy, including EV, electricity, gas and petrol.
"So, we dey turn from filling station to energy hub," e talk.

Dagazau talk say di smart stations go allow customers to access services and make payments through di NNPC Retail mobile application.

E talk say customers fit visit di stations anytime, including for night, to dispense fuel by themselves or recharge their electric vehicles.

E talk say di place get fast EV chargers wey fit fully charge vehicle within 30 to 40 minutes, depending on di vehicle and battery level.
