Africa richest man, Aliko Dangote, don talk say him company dey plan to invest pass $10bn for power sector to solve di electricity wahala for Nigeria and push industrialisation.

Dangote talk dis one during interview with Al Jazeera, where him point out say government policies dey change anyhow and electricity supply no dey enough as big wahala wey dey stop Africans from investing for di continent.

Him talk say di group dey consider to move money from some business, including steel, go electricity generation and other power-related investment.

“And I dey tell you say in di next three to four years, big change go happen for Africa, and na why we dey look power. We go invest for power. There be one or two business we might cancel, like steel, and we go put di money for power. We want invest pass $10bn only for power.”

Him show concern say more than 600 million Africans still dey live without electricity, and talk say na situation wey di continent must solve, saying, “We Africans no suppose allow pass 600 million of our people to remain for darkness.”

Di industrialist link electricity supply to economic development and argue say government wey successfully give their citizens power fit no need to go campaign again during election.

“You know, if some politicians work hard and get plan, when you deliver power, you no need to go campaign when you dey go election. Power na key; we no go ever create growth without power. Na why dem talk say power na growth. When I talk power, I mean electricity na growth.”

Him talk say Africa no go fit create jobs and get sustainable economic growth without industrialisation, and stress say di continent must reduce how e dey depend on imported goods.

On wetin some people dey talk about not investing for Africa, him talk, “Di problem really be say, e take two to tango. I think before, government policies dey flip-flop well well. Government policies dey change every day, and den, lack of electricity also dey.

“So, these two problems never go anywhere. Dem still dey. But for some of us wey really mean business, we dey here, and we know say yes, without our intervention, Africa no go ever fit create jobs. If industrialisation no dey, how you go create jobs? You no fit,” him talk.
