For di closing press conference of di three-day forum wey hold for di southern Turkish city Antalya on Sunday, Fidan talk say 23 heads of state and government, 13 deputy leaders, and 50 government ministers attend di event, plus representatives from 150 countries and 66 international organisations.
“Over three days, Antalya once again became a centre where the pulse of global diplomacy was felt,” Fidan talk, add say 6,400 participants join 52 sessions wey cover crises from di Asia-Pacific to Latin America, Europe, and Central Asia.
Fidan talk say President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, together with senior Turkish officials and their foreign counterparts, hold many bilateral meetings for di sideline of di forum, and several important diplomatic gatherings still happen for there.
Quadrilateral meeting
Fidan confirm say Türkiye hold one quadrilateral meeting with Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt wey focus on regional stability, cooperation and maritime security.
“Our goal is for these four countries to address regional issues with a realistic and implementable agenda,” e talk.
Fidan deny claims wey say di talks dey aim to form military alliance, explain say Türkiye dey focus on stability and economic development rather than confrontation.
“We are not forming alliances against others. We are seeking how to end conflicts, advance economic progress, and ensure stability in our region,” e talk.
Fidan add say the four countries represent wider regional structure and e emphasise say stronger cooperation fit open up di region’s potential.
“If the region continues waiting for external help, it will continue facing the same problems indefinitely,” e talk.
Iran-US talks and ceasefire efforts
Fidan say Türkiye dey closely monitor negotiations between Iran and di US, and say Pakistan dey play mediation role.
“We have reached a critical stage in the talks. Both sides are continuing negotiations with serious intent,” e talk.
Fidan show hope say di ceasefire go fit extend.
“No one wants a new war. The international community is urging both sides to extend the ceasefire and continue negotiations,” Fidan talk.
Gaza peace plan and Israel's policies
Fidan say one separate meeting of six Muslim countries also discuss Gaza peace plan and confirm their joint commitment to reach lasting peace.
“Israel's intention to depopulate Gaza, whether by killing or displacement, is known by everyone,” Fidan talk.
E describe Israel expansionist policies as growing global security threat.
“This is no longer just a regional issue but a global security problem,” e add.
Fidan say diplomatic efforts dey go on to prevent further escalation and to improve humanitarian conditions for Gaza.
Russia-Ukraine war
Fidan talk say Türkiye still ready to host more Russia-Ukraine peace talks.
“The war, entering its fifth year, must end. We are ready to host meetings again, whether at the technical or leadership level,” e talk.
Fidan warn say if global attention shift go other crises, e no suppose make people forget Ukraine.
“We must not allow attention to shift away from Ukraine and Gaza,” e add.
South Caucasus peace process
Fidan say Armenia and Azerbaijan don make important progress toward peace agreement.
“Both sides are sincere in pursuing peace. With a final agreement, the region will become much more stable,” e talk.
Fidan note say normalisation between Azerbaijan and Armenia fit also push Türkiye-Armenia normalisation and make regional connectivity stronger. E point out importance of the Middle Corridor and di Zangezur corridor wey connect Azerbaijan to im exclave Nakhchivan for trade and energy security.
“With a final agreement, we expect major positive developments in connectivity, economic growth, and energy security,” Fidan talk.
Lebanon and regional stability
Fidan also warn say Israel military operations for Lebanon fit further destabilise di region.
“More than one million people have been displaced. This is not only a humanitarian issue but also a serious threat to regional stability,” e talk.
E add say if global attention shift to other crises, e fit allow further escalation.
“We cannot allow this to become a fait accompli,” Fidan talk.
‘Africa has never left our radar’
Fidan talk about Türkiye growing diplomatic engagement for Africa, including mediation and security cooperation.
“We are pursuing a two-track strategy in Africa, economic cooperation and conflict resolution,” e talk.
E mention Türkiye support for Somalia counterterrorism efforts, cooperation with Nigeria, mediation between Somalia and Ethiopia, and support for peace for Libya and Sudan. Fidan also say Türkiye dey monitor tensions between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
“Africa has never left our radar,” e talk.
Energy security and connectivity projects
Fidan say recent tensions around the Strait of Hormuz show how important alternative connectivity and energy transport routes dey.
“Projects linking the Gulf through Syria and Türkiye to international markets are gaining importance,” e talk.
E add say rail and land transport projects between Türkiye, Syria and Saudi Arabia dey discussion.
“Our leaders focus on connectivity, energy security and development, not conflict,” Fidan talk.
‘Regional crises producing global effects’
Fidan talk say middle-power countries dey coordinate more to manage global crises.
“Regional crises are now producing global effects. The distinction between regional and global crises is disappearing,” e talk.
Fidan note say Türkiye dey strengthen cooperation with countries like Japan, South Korea, Australia, the UK, France, and Canada.
“Middle powers must work together to address global challenges,” e add.
Fidan say di forum also discuss emerging global challenges, including artificial intelligence, critical minerals, food security, climate change, and geopolitical competition.
“At a time when polarisation is replacing dialogue, the Antalya Diplomacy Forum has become a rare platform for hope, dialogue and solutions,” e talk.
E reafirm Türkiye commitment to diplomacy and mediation.
“We will continue to diversify cooperation, build trust, and bring parties closer together,” Fidan talk.
“Türkiye’s attraction as a diplomatic centre will continue to grow,” e add.
