Di Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, reveal dis one yesterday for dia Credit Condition Survey Report for Q2’26, and dem note say lenders show say credit availability increase for secured, unsecured, and corporate lending during dat period.
Di apex bank also note say lenders report lower default rates for Q2’26.
“Respondents report say credit demand increase to 15.1 index points for secured lending and 15.2 index points for corporate lending, while unsecured lending remain low at -1.2 index points.
“Consumer loans to households increase (11.2), credit for house purchase to households increase (9.6), lending for small businesses to households increase (26.4).
“Mortgage/re-mortgage lending from Households increase (13.3).”
Concerning unsecured lending, CBN note say overdraft/personal loans to households increase to 7.9 index points but credit cards lending from households drop to -2.0 index point.
For corporate lending, di apex bank mention say lending to small businesses, Medium Private Non-Financial Corporations (PNFCs) and Large PNFCs increase to 26.5, 25.5 and 8.9 index points respectively.
