Gunmen don kidnap six Islamic clerics along Dakko-Damri feeder road for Bakura LGA of Zamfara state.
Yazid Abubakar, Zamfara police spokesperson, talk for one statement on Sunday say the clerics dey travel go Talata Mafara when their vehicle was intercepted by armed bandits on Saturday.

Abubakar talk say the incident happen around 11:30am when the assailants, wey reportedly carry sophisticated weapons, lay ambush along the road and kidnap the six victims, all of dem identified as Imams.

He talk say the police, in collaboration with other security agencies, don start search operation to rescue the victims and catch the perpetrators.

"Upon receipt of the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Bakura Division, promptly mobilise and lead Police personnel, including the Violence Crime Response Unit (VCRU), in collaboration with other sister security agencies, go the scene of the incident," Abubakar talk.
He talk say the security teams dey comb surrounding bushes dey search for the victims.
The police spokesperson talk say A. M. Bello, Zamfara commissioner of police, direct the operatives to intensify efforts and deploy all available resources to secure the victims' release.
He also appeal to residents to provide credible and timely information wey go help the rescue operation.
