Nigerian government don finish arrangement to do Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention for di 21 states wey qualify, wey include all di 19 Northern states, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Oyo State.

Besides, government with dia partners support, dis year go make sure sey dem give out Insecticide-Treated Mosquito Nets (ITNs) for 11 states wey neva get net distribution for over seven years now.

Di states include Akwa Ibom, Kebbi, Borno, Bauchi, Nasarawa, Abia, Kogi, Osun, Kwara, Adamawa, and FCT.

Minister of State for Health, Dr Adekunle Salako, wey talk dis one yesterday for di event to remember 2026 World Malaria Day for Abuja, note sey over 500 million ITNs don distribute across di country from 2015 reach today.

He add sey dis intervention still be one of di best ways to protect family, especially pikin and pregnant women, from malaria.

He note sey di continuous distribution of ITNs don make plenty household get and use di nets, while routine ITN distribution through ANC clinics and immunisation programmes don help cover more people, wey don reduce malaria spread for areas wey e high.
