Vice President Kashim Shettima, yesterday, go submit presidential nomination and expression of interest forms for President Bola Tinubu, wey mean say don formally enter am for di All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary race, on di last day wey dem choose for submission of dis kind documents.

For one big event for Abuja, Shettima declare say Nigeria don turn new leaf under Tinubu leadership and say di progress need to continue.

Dem submit di forms for Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre (BATIC) for Abuja, one venue wey dem set aside specially for di president, while oda aspirants submit dia own for one hotel wey dem choose.

Dis one happen one day afta di party National Working Committee (NWC), for dia 188th meeting on Wednesday, waive di screening requirements for Tinubu, declare say dem don automatically clear am to join di upcoming primary elections without needing to appear before any screening committee.

Di NWC talk say Tinubu don already get overwhelming endorsement from Progressive Governors Forum, di leadership of National Assembly, and oda party organs for di APC National Summit of May 22, 2025, and say to screen am again go be “redundant and unnecessary” since dem don already screen and clear am before di 2022 presidential primaries.

As Shettima dey give speech for yesterday event, e talk say dis na reaffirmation of confidence for one president wey don prove im capacity under pressure and don bring Nigeria out of serious economic wahala.

“Di president don deliver on di mandate of stability and national revival. Di storms of di past years no weaken am. Dem make am party hero,” Shettima talk.

Shettima remember sey when Tinubu take over, Nigeria foreign reserves stand for about $33.99 billion, wey no enough, e talk, to support importation of oil for even one month. Instead of to dey find excuse, di president take difficult but necessary decisions to stabilize di economy and bring back investor confidence.

“We don cross di river. We don come out of di dark tunnel. Nigeria dey on path to recovery and growth,” Shettima talk, and e beg all Nigerians, wether dem be politician, religion or tribe, to support Tinubu for 2027.
