While dem dey talk, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, wey represent Kogi Central, add prayer wey call for Nigerian Police Force National Cybercrime Centre and oda security agencies to work together, track, monitor, and arrest people wey dey use social media to show off dia criminal operations.

Akpoti-Uduaghan talk sey e dey worry am well well becos armed groups no longer dey hide—instead dem dey use digital platforms to show power, flaunt money wey dem take do bad thing, and even dey do public “giveaways” wey dem believe di money come from crime.

She talk, “Di bandits and terrorists wey dey do these tings dey live for dia social media handles. Two days ago, bandits do giveaway, wey dem share over ₦100m within 30 minutes through dia social media handles, especially TikTok.”

Di senator ask why security agencies no fit use dis kind open digital evidence to arrest dem, especially di units wey suppose dey track cyber crimes.

“I no understand why di Cybercrime Unit and Police Force generally no fit track these activities and catch dem since dem dey for social media. So, I urge di Nigerian Police Force National Cybercrime Centre to track and arrest dese people,” she talk.
