Di Nigeria Sanctions Committee (NSC) don welcome di move by United States to sanction three bureaux de change (BDCs) and some individuals over allegations say dem dey help finance terrorism.

For one statement yesterday, di NSC talk say di U.S. action follow after dem include Adamu and im companies for di Nigeria Sanctions List wey dem publish on June 18, 2026.

“Di Nigeria Sanctions Committee welcome di recent inclusion of Mukthar Muhammad Adamu, Nine to Nine BDC and Generation BDC Limited by di United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) yesterday,” di statement talk.

Di committee say di designation na based on plenty intelligence gathering, financial investigations and inter-agency assessments.

According to di NSC, there be reasonable ground to believe say di affected individuals and entities “facilitate, finance, support or otherwise contribute” to di activities of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) and oda terrorist networks wey dey related.
