Turkey don declare say Iran dey face an "unjust and illegal" attack, and dem condemn the ongoing US–Israel strikes as no get any legitimacy according to international law.
For press conference wey hold for Ankara on Monday, AK Party spokesman Omer Celik talk say the attack on Iran na "unjust, against international law and stripped of legitimacy", and he warn say military strikes wey dey happen while diplomatic talks still dey go fit get "deeply disturbing consequences".
"Diplomacy no suppose to be used as cover for attacks wey dem don plan before," he talk. "If talks dey happen and an attack like this happen, e fit show say the negotiations na just tactic."
Celik show sympathy to the Iranian people for reported civilian victims, including the bombing of a primary school, and for the deaths of high-ranking religious, military and political figures. "Iran dey under an unjust and illegal attack," he yarn, and he call for urgent return to the negotiation table.
He warn say to target the leadership of a UN member state and to dey openly discuss regime change go further destabilise the whole region. He argue say efforts to impose regime change for past don lead to civil war and long-term instability.
"Interventions wey dem do under the pretext of Israel's security or to support the hardline foreign policy of Israel don destabilise the whole region," he add, saying the post-World War II international order dey at risk of being eroded.
While he express solidarity with the Iranian people, Celik also warn Tehran make e no expand the conflict by targeting third countries.
"There must be clear difference between the right to self-defence and actions wey fit trigger a wider regional war," he say.
He add say Ankara dey follow developments closely and dey prepare for different scenarios, including the risk of regional escalation.
According to him, Turkish authorities dey take measures for four main areas: possible migration flows from the border with Iran; economic fluctuations linked to energy routes like the Strait of Hormuz; readiness for national security; and the safety of Turkish citizens abroad.
