Jam'iyyar New Patriotic Party (NPP) mai mulki a Ghana ta zabi mataimakin shugaban kasar Mahamudu Bawumia a matsayin dan takararta a zaben shugaban kasa da za a gudanar a watan Disamba na 2024.
Ya samu kuri'u 118, 210 wato kashi 61.43 na kuri'un da aka jefa a zagaye na biyu na zaben fitar da gwani da jam'iyyar ta gudanar ranar Asabar a Accra, babban birnin kasar - nasarar da aka yi hasashen zai samu ganin cewa shi ne yake kan gaba a zagaye na farko na zaben da aka yi a watan Agusta.
Dan takarar da ya zo na biyu shi ne Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, wani dan majalisar dokokin kasar, wanda ya samu kuri'a 71,996 wato kashi 37.41 na kuri'un da aka kada. Wakilai 204,000 daga mazabu 270 ne suka jefa kuri'unsu a zaben fitar da gwanin.
Mr Bawumia zai fafata da tsohon shugaban kasar John Drami Mahama wanda babbar jam'iyyar hamayya National Democratic Congress ta tsayar domin yi mata takara a zaben.
'Albashi mai tsoka'
A yayin da yake jawabi bayan samun nasara, dan takarar shugaban kasar Ghana na jam'iyyar NPP, ya yi alkawarin yin aiki da wadanda suka sha kaye a zaben fitar da gwanin domin ganin sun samu nasara a babban zabe.
"Na tsaya a gabanku cike da kankan da kai, kasancewa an yi mini abin da ban taba samu a rayuwata ba. Wannan ba nasara ce a gare ni kadai ba, daga Bogoso zuwa Bolga, daga Axim zuwa Zarabtinga, jam'iyyarmu ta hada kai ta zabi hanya guda daya.
"Na yi alkawarin yin aiki da kowa, ciki har da Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, wanda ya so ya ba ni ruwa a yau," in ji Mr Bawumia.
Kazalika ya yi alkawarin inganta tattalin arzikin Ghana wanda ke fuskantar koma-baya.
"Ina so na jagoranci kasa da za ta inganta rayuwar matasanmu masu hazaka da kuma samar da ayyukan yi masu albashi mai tsoka da inganta tattalin arziki," in ji Mr Bawumia, wanda masanin tattalin arziki ne kuma tsohon ma'aikacin babban bankin Ghana.
