A ranar Talatar nan Nijeriya ta ɓarin alluran riga-kafin kwalara 600,000 don shawo kan ɓarkewar cutar a jihar Borno da ke yankin arewa maso-gabashin ƙasar da ambaliyar ruwa ta tagayyara.
Mataimakiyar Wakilin UNICEF a Nijeriya, Rownak Khan ta ce alluran riga-kafin da wasu magunguna wani ɓangare ne na tallafi daga ƙasashen duniya don dakatar da yaɗuwar cutar kwalara, da ake ɗauka a ruwan sha da ta ɓulla a jihar makonni kaɗan bayan ambaliyar ruwan da ta afku.
"Wannan allurar riga-kafi ta ɗigon baki yunƙurin haɗin gwiwa ne tsakanin gwamnati da abokan aiki. UNICEF ɗaya daga cikin ƙawaye ne. Muna da sauran abokan hulɗa da su ma sun bayar da gudunmawa sosai don kawo alluran riga-kafin zuwa Nijeriya," Khan ta faɗa wa kamfanin dillancin labarai na Anadolu a babban birnin Maiduguri, bayan miƙa alluran ga wakilan gwamnati.
Ta ce kyautar ta haɗa da ƙunshin kayan yaƙi da ƙarewar ruwa a jiki da kayan gado na asibiti da darajarsu ta kai dala 69,000.
A watan jiya, UNICEF ta fara miƙa alluran riga-kafin cutar kwalara 300,000 ga jihar Borno, inda aka fara yi wa mutane da yawa a yankin.
Abubakar Hassan, mai bayar da shawara na musamman ga gwamnan jihar Borno kan kiwon lafiya, ya ce har yanzu ba a samu asarar rayuka ba sakamakon kamuwa da cutar kwalara a jihar.
Mahukunta sun ce ya zuwa 4 ga Oktoba, mutane 128 sun kamu da cutar kwalara a jihar Borno, daga cikin mutane 451 da aka yi wa gwaji bayan zargin kamuwa da cutar.
Cibiyar Yaƙi da Cututtuka Masu Yaɗuwa ta Nijeriya (NCDC) ta ce mutane 359 ne suka mutu sakamakon kwalara daga watan Janairu zuwa Satumban bana.
