Hukumar Kula da Ingancin Abinci da Magunguna ta Nijeriya, NAFDAC ta rufe Kasuwar Eziukwu da ke birnin Aba na jihar Abia a kudu maso kudancin ƙasar, bayan gano kayayyakin da suka lalace na kimanin naira biliyan biyar.
A sanarwar da ta wallafa a shafinta na X a ranar Laraba da maraice, NAFDAC ta ce an rufe shaguna 150 a kasuwar, bayan shafe kwana biyu ana samame a cikinta, a ranar 16 da 17 ga watan Disamban 2024.
“Tawagar ta bankaɗo manyan wuraren samarwa da rarraba kayayyakin jabu da waɗanda lokacin amfaninsu ya ƙare, waɗanda suka haɗa da abubuwan sha, da kayan shayi da giya da man girki da taliyar yara (noodles) da madarar gari da yogot. “Kayayyakin da aka lalata sun kai na Naira biliyan biyar,” in ji NAFDAC.
Da yake bayyana kasuwar a matsayin cibiyar sayar da jabun kayayyaki da kaya marasa inganci, Daraktan Shiyyar Kudu maso Gabas, Dokta Martins Iluyomade, ya nuna rashin jin daɗinsa da yadda ake ci gaba da gudanar da hada-hada ba bisa ka’ida ba, duk kuwa da wani matakin da shugabannin kasuwar suka sanya wa hannu a baya a watan Disamban shekarar 2023 na bankado masu yin jabun.
Shugabar hukumar NAFDAC Farfesa Mojisola Adeyeye ta tabbatar da cewa hukumar ba za ta lamunci irin wannan dabi’a ba, tare da jaddada ƙudurinta na kare lafiyar al’umma da ƙoƙarin ganin an magance matsalar samar da jabun kayayyakin da ake fama da ita a kasuwanni.
