Ma'aikatar Lafiya ta kasar Zambiya ta ƙaddamar da bincike bayan da "karnuka masu yawa" suka mutu a cikin watan da ya gabata bayan cin gurɓataccen abincin dabbobi.
Ministan Lafiya Elijah Muchima ya shaida wa taron manema labarai a ranar Talata cewa kimanin karnuka 400 ne suka mutu bayan sun ci masara mai guba da ke ɗauke da sinadarin aflatoxin da ya wuce ƙima.
Binciken ya zo ne bayan wani gidan talabijin na Diamond TV na kasar Zambiya ya bayar da rahoton cewa, watakila karnuka da dama sun mutu sakamakon cin gubar aflatoxin.
"Ni ma abin ya shafa ni. Na yi asarar karnuka sama da shida a cikin mako ɗaya," kamar yadda Sunday Chanda, dan majalisar adawa ya rubuta a dandalin sada zumunta na X.
'Mutane suna cikin hadari'
Ma'aikatar ta ce an gano cewa rabin samfurori 25 da aka dauka daga kamfanonin da ke samar da abincin suna ɗauke da fungi, inda ta yi gargaɗin cewa ɗan'adam ma na iya fuskantar haɗari.
Muchimi ya ce sakamakon gwajin ya kasance "abin damuwa sosai saboda tasirin kiwon lafiya da yawa ga jama'a."
WHO ta yi kashedin cewa “aflatoxins” na ɗauke da sinadarai masu guba da ke haifar da cututtuka a cikin hantar dabbobi da mutane.”
Ma'aikatar Lafiya, ba ta bayar da rahoton mutuwar mutane ba sakamakon ci gurɓatacciyar masarar.
Bayan binciken da hukumomi suka yi, an dakatar da amfani da masarar da ake zargin tana da gubar, sannan an bayar da sanarwar ƙwace ta daga “kamfanonin da abin ya shafa,” wadanda ba a bayyana sunayensu ba.
