About TRT Afrika

TRT Afrika digital channel is a subsidiary of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), the leading public service broadcaster of Türkiye.

TRT Afrika digital service was established in 2023 as part of an integral TRT strategy to offer its digital news coverage in different languages, while adapting to an increasing globalised information landscape.

TRT Afrika operates in four languages: English, French, Swahili and Hausa.

With its launch, It joins other TRT digital news channels: TRTWORLD, TRT Français, TRT Arabi, TRT Balkan, TRT Russia and TRT Deutsch.

TRT Afrika empowers its audience with quality journalism, keeping them both informed and engaged, giving their stories a voice, and delivering fast and balanced coverages of events that move our world.
