Di Army talk say dem neutralise dem on October 31, 2026, by combined troops of di Joint Task Force wey dem deploy to Kukawa after one massive ISWAP terrorists attack on dia locations.
Di acting Military Information Officer, Northeast Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai, Capt Mohammed Goni, for one statement on Sunday, talk say di troops use both ground and air assets from di air component.
Di statement read: "Troops of di Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), don deal one big blow to di leadership and operational capability of di Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), neutralising several terrorists during one engagement for Kukawa, Borno State, on 31 October 2026."
He talk say di four terrorists wey dem neutralise include Abu Hajara, one high-profile member of di group Shura Council and Abul Walid, one prominent commander and close associate of Ba Shuwa, di overall Wali of ISWAP and 2 high ranking Arab fighters.
Goni note say after di engagement, troops recover plenty arms, ammunition and communication devices.
"Di successful engagement further show di combat readiness, vigilance and superior firepower of Operation Hadin Kai troops in sustaining pressure on terrorist elements across di theatre," Goni talk.
He talk say di attack on troops location for Kukawa come barely three days after di Buni Yadi attack where dem neutralise 55 terrorists, including key commanders like Ali Mandara Abba Gajiri (Munzir), Habu Ikkima Nakif Yana Faruk and Commander Gogore.
"Di Theatre Command don reaffirm im commitment to protecting law-abiding citizens and to continue im operations to ensure total annihilation of di terrorists and destruction of dia camps within di region," he talk.
